How it All Began

My dream started when I went on a school tour at the age of 15 years old. One that might take a long time to reach.

When I was 16 years old I got my first bass guitar as a gift from my dad. The bass guitar was found, hidden under boxes of random acoustic guitars. It felt like finding a lost diamond that just waited there to be collected.

I practised every day to improve and to teach my fingers the scales and to dance to the music.

After finishing high school, I played in various bands where I collected valuable experience, before being signed by a record label as part of a young upcoming band.

It was not until age 22 before I reached success when we released two albums with my band, which also included televised music videos for publicity.

By age 24, I co-started a management, artist promotion, and booking agency for successful and upcoming musical acts. I felt the need to support other musicians and bands and wanted to offer other people the opportunities that I also enjoyed during the time that I succeeded.

I qualified as a teacher with a focus on sports, maths and social pedagogy where I continue to inspire others to reach their dreams and to become the best versions of themselves.

Hi! I’m De Wet Kruger.

I am a South African living in Europe, but I still return to my roots regularly.

On my website, I am sharing helpful tips and content about starting your music project successfully.

Since I also share a passion for kids and teaching, I might add topics related to inspiring parents and kids to reach their musical dreams.
